Catania is connected to many domestic and international airports by frequent flights operated by several airlines. Alternatively, you may reach Catania by train. The Central Railway Station is connected to the Airport Bellini/Fontanarossa by train and bus. You can reach all the destinations in the city from Central Railway Station by bus (AMTS) or subway.

The site of the Workshop (Monastero dei Benedettini) and the hotels indicated in the table below are located in the city centre and may be easily reached from the airport by bus, taxi or train.
By bus: The airport is connected to the city centre by the AMTS “Alibus”, which departs every 25 minutes. Tickets cost 4,00 Euro. You can buy the ticket on board or at the AMTS ticket offices. You can find timetable and route of "Alibus" in the AMTS web site. If your destination is the city centre, you have to get off at "Stesicoro" stop.
By taxi: The city centre may be reached by taxi. The cost of the ride depends on the destination and is generally expensive. However, you can have a fixed rate of 22,00 Euro from airport to city centre (max 4 passengers) calling Radio Taxi Catania +39-095-330966. From airport: after you land, go to the departure zone (second floor), exit the building, and call Radio Taxi Catania +39-095-330966. For the transfer from hotel to airport, you can book the taxi in advance calling the same phone number. When you call Radio Taxi Catania +39-095-330966, specify your exact destination, depending on it the fixed rate may change a little bit.  
By train: It is possible also to reach the city centre by train. Go to the Fontanarossa train stop by the AMTS "shuttle" and then to the Central Railway Station by train. The shuttle runs every 10 minutes from 4:30 to 22:40. You have to buy an integrated ticket (train + shuttle) at Trenitalia stations or on-line on the Trenitalia website. You may find more information in the Trenitalia website. From Central Railway Station you can reach the city centre by bus or subway.
