The 10th European Workshop on the Seismic Behaviour of Irregular and Complex Structures (10EWICS)
Catania, Italy, 5-6 October 2023
Since 1996, the European Workshop on the seismic behaviour of Irregular and Complex Structures (EWICS) has been taking place successfully every three years under the auspices of Task Group (TG) 8 (Seismic Behaviour of Irregular and Complex Structures) of the European Association of Earthquake Engineering (EAEE). Since the 6th edition, the papers presented at the Workshop are included in a dedicated book published by Springer and indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science. The following links redirect to the books dedicated to 9EWICS, 8EWICS, 7EWICS and 6EWICS.
The Workshop provides a platform to discuss, exchange ideas, and gain new insights on possibilities and challenges of the research in the field of irregular and complex structures. The target is to promote sharing and dissemination of research results, as well as networking at international level. The last EWICS was held in 2020 in Lisbon (Portugal) and the next one, the 10th edition, will be held in Catania (Italy) on October 5th and 6th 2023 and will be an excellent opportunity for exchanges among seismic engineers. We will provide a stimulating forum for your discussions and a convivial atmosphere in which to make new contacts and renew old friendships. We are confident that your participation to the 10th EWICS will provide a valuable contribution to the development of our research field. So, we warmly invite you to join us and are looking forward to seeing you in Catania in October 2023.
Papers that investigate structural systems with irregular or complex seismic behaviour, independently of construction material (RC, steel, masonry or other) and type of construction (buildings, bridges, or other), are welcome. Topics include, but are not limited to:
